10 Best Tips & Tricks
YES!
After setting up GoogleVoice, go to Settings > Phones, and uncheck Phone.
Next, go to Settings > Voicemail & SMS > SMS forwarding — make sure your email address is used for forwarding. This email address should be on your Peek.
Text your GoogleVoice number from your Peek.
Give your Google Voice number to people to text to — they have to text you first before you can respond. Voila!

#1 Moving the cursor. Hold down the Shift key while moving the Scroll Wheel to move your cursor left and right while composing a message — a big help when it comes to typos.
#2 Top & Bottom. It’s a snap to move to the top or bottom of your inbox. Just press the letter T or B while in your Inbox screen. This also works on email messages in newer software versions.
#3 Downloading contacts. If you have a Hotmail, Gmail, AOL or Yahoo account, all you have to do is select “Contacts” from the menu and hit “Download Contacts.” Your email contacts will be downloaded instantly, so next time you’re composing an email and start typing a friend’s name, it will autofill for you.
#4 Text messaging. If you have a Peek Pronto, you can text message anyone by simply typing their 10-digit cell phone number in the “To:” field of an email message. Your friend can reply from their phone and you’ll receive the text reply on your Peek.
#5 Adding email accounts. You can connect up to 5 email addresses to Peek Pronto and 2 to Peek Classic. It’s simple, go to the menu and select Peek Manager –> Email Accounts –> Add account. Takes just a minute.
#6 Resetting Peek. If your Peek has been turned off for awhile (like on a long flight) and you don’t want it to download a ton of old email, you can reset your Peek. Go to Peek Manager –> Device info –> Reset Peek. Caution: Resetting erases all Saved email, Contacts and Accounts, but not billing info.
#7 AskPeek Services. Free email information service from Peek. Just type your zip or city & state in the subject line of an email and send it to one of AskPeek’s addresses: weather@askpeek.com, traffic@askpeek.com, news@askpeek.com, maps@askpeek.com. You’ll get an email back instantly with the info you want!
#8 Referrals Program. For every family member, friend, co-worker or acquaintance you refer to Peek, you will get 1-month of free service when they active their Peek (the new Peekster will get a free month, too)! Just give them your email address to reference when they register (they’ll have to call 877-677-7335 to claim). Get 12 friends to buy a Peek and you’ve got a whole year of free service!
#9 Annual Savings Plan. If saving money is a priority, you can pay $180 up-front for an entire year of unlimited email & texting. That equals to just $15 a month! Call 877-677-7335 to arrange this.
#10 When in doubt, Power Cycle. Just like rebooting a computer, turning your Peek off, then on again is sometimes the easiest way to regain a lost signal or snap out of a receiving delay. If you ever get really stuck, just call us at 877-677-7335 for help, email care@getpeek.com or search the discussion boards.
